This plate is used to ensure proper alignment of Stock Buffer Tube (Receiver Extension) with the AR-15 receiver. It also keeps the buffer tube from turning and coming loose. It is placed under the Buffer Tube Castle Nut which locks the End Plate in place ensuring no movement of the stock tube once tightened.  These are supplied to us by either Spikes Tactical or Rainier Arms and are steel with a black oxide finish.
