JP Silent Captured Spring - for AR-15 with Fixed OR Collapsible Stocks
The new JP Silent Captured Spring system for AR-15 rifles and carbines takes smoothness and quietness to a new level for your AR15. This system consists of a smaller diameter recoil spring captured on a guide rod to totally eliminate the contact of the spring with the buffer tube and the spoon on a cheese grater sound. The buffer weights are also integral to this captured system so no seperate buffer is needed. Additionally, the system includes a large synthetic buffer to cushion the impact at the rear of the recoil stroke. Furthermore, due to its captured design, the need for the buffer retainer spring and plunger is eliminated.
* Is proper length for AR-15 collapsible stock tubes. Includes a spacer to make it also compatible with fixed stocks.
** Is not compatible with any AR using a solid, weighted bolt carrier such as a 9mm carriers or the PWS Direct Impingment or Piston Carriers since the guide rod must extend into the rear of the carrier as it cycles.
