| JP Low Mass Stainless Carrier for AR-15/M4 Rifles and Carbines For the no compromise competition or recreational rifle, the Low Mass Operating System by JP Rifles offers the most significant improvement in the felt impulse of the rifle as compared to any modification other than the addition of a compensator. By reducing the reciprocating mass, the overall impulse as felt by the shooter is further reduced and bolt velocity is increased without significantly affecting reliability. Low Mass Operating System equipped rifles have virtually no reciprocating mass feel. The Low Mass Bolt Carrier is the main component of this system and is designed to work with the Low Mass Buffer to give the lowest possible reciprocating mass and lowest possible recoil impulse. The Low Mass Stainless Carrier lightens the weight enough to lower recoil and mass while keeping enough weight to keep reliability high.
Machined from 416 stainless steel for optimum durability and longevity. Does NOT have forward assist serrations but does feature dust cover notch. 100% increase in bearing surface for smoother operation, improved alignment and lower wear in the upper receiver. Recommended for competition and recreational use. Finished with a Quench-Polish-Quench (QPQ) hardcoat process to yield incredibly hard and lubricious bearing surfaces.
Reliability with these parts is excellent for competition use. Most shooters that use and maintain this operating system feel that it is a great performance improvement. Some shooters have even reported fewer unexplained flyers in their groups with the JP Low Mass Operating System. To further enhance the performance of the JP Low Mass Carrier, we recommend the use of the JP Low Mass Buffer which is sold seperately.
Not for use in AR-10-type rifles. Weight: 6.25oz with key installed. |
