JP Tactical Compensator .308 cal. Matte Black (.875 Barrel Diameter)
JP has developed an all-new recoil eliminator design for .308 cal AR-10 rifles and carbines. Rifle compensators used for tactical matches such as the SOF, WC 3-Gun and USPSA Limited Class must meet the new 1” by 3” size. In addition, some people prefer a slimmer, more compact configuration to their rifle compensator but didn't have a worthy alternative until now.
JP produced a design that maximizes the potential of the size limitation while maintaining nearly the same recoil reduction and neutrality that has characterized the original JP Recoil Eliminator. This is an extremely effective tactical compensator which dramatically reduces recoil and muzzle climb. Two large expansion chambers and baffles to dramatically reduce recoil and 4 top ports to keep the muzzle down. No bottom ports to keep dust signature to a minimum. Has been proven in practical 3-gun competition to be one of the best muzzle brakes available. Made to the highest quality standards, has a matte black finish.
Compensator has a 1" outer diameter that is tapered to .875" where it meets the barrel. Has 5/8x24 TPI thread pattern which fits many factory threaded .308 rifles. Has .350" exit hole for .308 bullets but can be opened up for larger calibers by a competent gunsmith. SOF/Tactical/USPSA Limited competition legal. Also very effective for hunting rifles or precision bolt action rifles.

*This is a new compensator model from JP for 2011 and it is sized perfectly for our SOCOM-16 threaded gas locks and M14 threaded front sight bases and also is sized well for those using Jam nuts, crush washers or shim kits to mount it to their barrel.
