| Primary Weapons Systems Thread Adapter 5/8x24 TPI to 1/2x28 TPI
This is a thread adapter that allows a muzzle brake with 5/8x24 TPI threads to be put onto a barrel with 1/2x28 TPI threads. Simply install the thread adapter on your 1/2x28 TPI barrel and then install the muzzle brake with the 5/8x24 TPI threads onto the adapter.
This adapter is needed for rifles chambered in 6.8 SPC or .308 but have 1/2x28 threads on the barrel which is the thread pattern normally used for .223/5.56mm barrels. They need a larger caliber muzzle brake for their 6.8 SPC or .308 cartridge which normally are made with 5/8x24 threads. Please ensure that you know the thread pattern on your barrel and that you use muzzle attachments that are compatible with your cartridge.
