These stocks are made to fit most Remington, Winchester, Ruger, Weatherby, Howa and Mauser bolt actions rifles. Simple “drop-in” installation makes upgrading quick and easy. Both Pillar Bed or Full-Length Aluminum Bed Block versions are available. The CompStock recoil system is effective with all calibers and requires no adjustment, even for the heaviest big game calibers. It’s ideal for field or range use.
This classically designed stock features a sleek straight comb, ambidextrous palm swells, and a varmint-style forend. The soft rubber finish provides a rugged, quiet, non-slip surface, perfect for all weather conditions. The stock is constructed by molding super strong, rigid fiberglass reinforced stock that precisely fits the rifle action. Then this small “stock” or “skeleton”, is then completely OverMolded with the same rubber compound used on Hogue pistol grips. The skeleton or insert, as it is called, chemically and mechanically adheres to the rubber resulting in a permanent bond between the rubber and the insert. The super strong insert gives the stocks their strength and the precise molded dimensions provide a perfect drop in fit of your rifle action. OverMolding with rubber provides a comfortable, non-slip, smooth attractive finish that is durable and extremely quiet. Combined with the acclaimed CompStock Recoil-Reduction system, this creates the ideal stock for pain-free, accurate and successful shooting.
This stock can be ordered with either standard pillar bedding or a full length aluminum bedding block. The pillar bedding provides solid metal pillars to mate with the action where it is screwed to the stock. This is a very common and effective rifle stock mounting method that works well for most hunters and shooters. For the ulimate in rigidity and accuracy, the full length aluminum bedding block provides a precisely machined aluminum block that is molding into the stock and runs from the action area of the stock through the forearm. It provides the most precise and solid mounting possible of the action to the stock and provides an extremely rigid forearm which will not flex under pressure, therefore enhancing accuracy. If you want a real tack driver, this is the one you want. Both are a drop-in fit with no gunsmithing required.
