Smith Enterprise .338 Muzzle Brake with 3/4x24 RH threads
This new Smith Enterprise Good Iron muzzle brake is a compact design for calibers up to .338 Lapua Magnum on barrels with 3/4 x 24 TPI RH threads. This applies to military semi-auto rifles and bolt action type rifles that have that thread pattern. Smith Enterprise Good Iron muzzle brakes are supplied with a locking jam-nut that allows the shooter to easily index the muzzle brake. Once in position, the jam nut is tightened against the back of the muzzle brake to lock it into position. Can be used with or without Loctite. Its multiple side and top ports are designed to effectively reduce recoil and muzzle climb. This is a proven recoil reducing design manufactured by Smith Enterprise Incorporated (SEI). It has the same 14 gas ports precision machined into the sides and top of the brake just like the very effective SEI M14 USCG muzzle brake and SEI M1 Garand muzzle brakes and their other popular SOCOM-16 and AR brakes but this one is larger in diameter with the threads and exit hole to match .338 caliber. You will notice dramatically less muzzle rise and recoil with this brake. Very effective in a compact size. There are no downward facing ports to minimize dust signature from the prone position. This brake is compatible with Smith Enterprise Direct Connect Sound Suppressors.
Machined from super tough 8620 stressproof steel and hardened to a core hardness of 36-38 HRC and a surface hardness of 55-58 HRC. The lock nut is also made from 8620 steel and is heat treated to 36-38 HRC all the way through. Brake and jam nut have a very hard, durable and good looking matte black Salt Bath Nitride finish.
Length: 2.60"
Diameter: .985"

*Note: This brake is made both with the ridges or in a smooth outer profile. The ridges are intended for ease of use with a suppressor. The current ones in stock are of the smooth profile.
