SOCOM-16 Gas Plug for SOCOM-16 and M1A Scout Rifles
This newly designed gas plug made by Smith Enterprise Inc is a drop-in replacement for the factory gas plug on the SOCOM16 rifle and other short barreled M1A models with 16-18" barrels such as the 18" Scout model. This gas plug is hollowed out to provide much greater volume for gas coming into the operating system. This noticeably softens the recoil and lowers wear on operating parts while improving reliability in these short rifles. It also has a new outer design which is both functional and good looking. It is another great way to maximize the performance of your SOCOM 16 or M1A Scout and to customize its look as well. It provides reliable performance in these short barreled rifles either with or without a sound suppressor. This part is made by SEI of 17-4 Stainless Steel which is machined to exacting tolerances and double heat treated for durability under extreme use. It has an extremely durable and good looking Salt Bath Nitride matte black finish.
This part works well with all M1A gas lock designs such as the Springfield Armory factory gas locks, the SEI SOCOM-16 Threaded Gas Locks or the SEI M1A/M14 Gas Locks.
