The Vltor IMOD is the improved version of the original modstock.  It has the modular storage watertight storage compartments on each side like the original modstock giving it a great feeling, wide cheek weld.  The improvements include: a rubber recoil pad for a comfortable feel and a positive shoulder mount even with webgear, pack straps or body armor, an angled toe to the butt pad to allow shooting with the stock high in the shoulder, improved locking lever, removal of sharp edges to make it more snag-proof, improved strength throughout the stock chassis to withstand rough use.  Additional features include a sling loop and ambi QD sling swivel studs.  This is a great stock if you want lots of features with low weight as it is only 9 ounces.
