JP Silent Captured Spring - 9mm AR-15 - Gen 2

This is the newest Gen 2 version of the 9mm Silent Captured Spring. The new JP Silent Captured Spring system for 9mm AR-15 carbines takes smoothness and quietness to a new level. This system consists of a smaller diameter recoil spring captured on a guide rod to totally eliminate the contact of the spring with the buffer tube and the spoon on a cheese grater sound. The buffer weights are integral to this captured system so no seperate buffer is needed. Additionally, the system includes a large synthetic buffer to cushion the impact at the rear of the recoil stroke. Furthermore, due to its captured design, the need for the buffer retainer spring and plunger is eliminated. This is a perfect match for our JP 9mm Bolts and works great with 9mm bolts from other manufacturers.

* Is proper length for 9mm AR-15s with collapsible stocks or pistol buffer tubes. Made with 3 Tungsten weights and 1 steel weight. Is longer and heavier than AR15 models to work with blowback operation of 9mm and to stop bolt just behind the bolt catch.

* 9mm Bolt must have the weight in the rear of the bolt removed in order to operate with the JP Silent Captured Spring for 9mm. Most 9mm bolts have a roll pin holding the weight in place. This must be removed in order for the guide rod of the buffer system to extend into the rear portion of the bolt. It is compatible with the JP 9mm Bolt without modification since it does not have a rear weight.

* Does NOT include a spacer for fixed stocks. JP Spacers are available separately if you intend to use it with a fixed stock.
