This is the softest running buffer combination available for an AR-15 of any caliber with a collapsible stock that runs hard. In this combo deal you get the KynSHOT KYN-RB5005 3.25" AR-10 carbine buffer with a JP AR-15 carbine buffer spring. The RB5005 buffer is the same length as the AR-15 RB5000 buffer, but is heavier at 5.5 ounces and has hydraulics tuned for heavier levels of recoil. It has proven to be an outstanding buffer for hard running AR-15 systems. Examples include many short barreled 5.56 rifles with pistol gas systems, suppressed SBRs, many piston systems including the PWS piston guns and heavier calibers like the .50 Beo or .458 SOCOM. This heavier model KynSHOT hydraulic buffer has proven to be the sweet spot for these harder running AR type rifles.

The buffer acts as a shock absorber for your bolt carrier noticeably reducing recoil impulse and speeding shot recovery for faster follow up shots. The buffer also makes chambering smoother and more consistent resulting in tighter shot groups and improved feeding reliability. The JP Buffer Spring is ground and polished on the outer edge making operation as smooth and quiet as possible. This combo is intended for AR-15 framed guns so it includes an AR-15 carbine buffer spring. If you have a .308/7.62 AR-10 framed gun, you would need to combine a KynSHOT AR-10 buffer with an AR-10 strength buffer spring.
