KynSHOT / Blitzkrieg Components - 9mm AR-15 Hydraulic Buffer (Standard)
Blitzkrieg Components partnered with KynShot to develop a top of the line 9mm AR-15 buffer using KynShot's Hydraulic Buffer Technology. The 9mm Hydraulic Buffer is made from 17-4 Stainless Steel and uses hydraulic shock absorption to dampen the impact of the bolt at the rear of its travel. It's weight and length have been optimized for the 9mm application so that it runs reliably, softens recoil, smooths out the action, and stops just behind the bolt catch using any 9mm ammo type. It is the smoothest running, softest recoiling 9mm buffer on the market and will produce less recoil, faster shot recovery, faster split times and overall more enjoyable shooting experience for your Pistol Caliber AR15.
The blowback operation of the 9mm AR-15 drives a very heavy bolt much harder than a standard AR-15 BCG and it needs to be dampened (shock absorbed) as much as possible to optimize the system, reduce wear on the firearm and reduce recoil and sight movement. Most of the felt recoil on a 9mm AR-15 comes from the impact of the heavy bolt. Spring noise is also greatly reduced using this buffer. Our buffer dampens the impact for a soft landing which reduces spring vibration and noise. The length of this buffer stops the bolt just behind the bolt catch on a 9mm AR-15 without the need for a spacer in the buffer tube.
This buffer is best suited for 9mm AR15s with barrel lengths of 7.5" or less. Typically on the shorter barreled 9mm guns an extra power .223 carbine spring is a better choice than a .308 carbine spring. So a Sprinco Red or Blue spring or a JP .223 carbine spring will usually work well. However, every gun is somewhat unique and shooter perception varies. Furthermore, different bolt weights, different ammunition loads and use of suppressors will all effect how hard the bolt runs. So some trial and error is often needed to find the optimal buffer spring for you and your gun. We have a full selection of buffer springs for you to choose from.
* This buffer can be run with or without the Blitzkrieg Components PPC buffer weight, but we do not recommend this buffer for short stroke applications. So if running with this buffer with the PCC buffer weight, it should be in a fixed stock buffer tube or AR10/A5 carbine buffer tube so that it can have the full stroke behind the bolt catch.
