The POF Enhanced Universal AR-15 Bolt Catch Provides a standard sized top pad for releasing the bolt and an enlarged, angled and serrated bottom pad making it easier to manually lock the bolt open. It also has a slightly enlarged tooth for engagement with the magazine follower. A quality and tasteful upgrade without being oversized or too heavy. I ordered this enhanced bolt catch because it was not huge and it looked similar to the original Colt M4 bolt catch. I installed it, using punches made just for AR bolt catches and that made installation easy. You should have seen the expression on my face the first time I used it. I was ecstatic. If you do just one mod to your gun, this should be it. Don't use the wrong installation tools and possibly damage your AR lower.

I have these bolt catches on one of my AR 15's and on my 9mm SBR.  They really help with bolt catch manipulation especially if you are using cold weather or shooting gloves.  Additionally it looks cool and distinctive.  Great piece of kit for your AR builds

I have used these on a number of rifles I have built.  I find they are a great improvement over the regular bolt catch.  The bottom portion which is angled out and larger is easy to engage.  It doesn't interfere with the regular operation of the weapon and during stressful situations where fine motor skills are affected the larger surface is better.  Highly recommended!!
